The final performance of the 2011 "Golden Knights" Marching Band took place last evening at MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands, in the pregame show before the State Championship game against Wayne Hills. We are proud of our NVOT Football Team and coaches, in particular, Head Coach Brian Dunn, for the exceptional work they've done this season.

 

This has been a unique year, with setbacks, comebacks, and heartbreak, but through it all you have standard for which we are very proud. PJ Bannon, Brass Instructor, shot this video of our pregame show. This was the best perspective we had all year of our show, naturally because of the height and vantage point the stadium afforded us. Even without a tripod, and with the vicinity crowd noise, people singing along, and overall turbulence in the stands, it's a great video, one for the archives. Select the 720 HD option for best viewing. And be sure to watch all the way to the end; the credits acknowledge every member of the band. Congratulations to everyone on their work during this extraordinary season!
 

 

The Wedding Singer tickets now on sale!

 

Tickets are now on sale for The Wedding Singer! Reserved seat tickets at $20 each are on sale for the performances March 2, 3, & 4. Go to www.seatyourself.biz/nvotmusical to purchase tickets. (The service charges a 50¢ per ticket service charge.) We will also sell tickets during lunch (10:45-11:30 am) on December 2, 6 & 7. You can pay with cash or a check, payable to NVOT, when you purchase tickets in person, and avoid the service charge.

Tickets for the Senior Citizens preview dress rehearsal on Wednesday, February 29 at 6:00 pm are available only at the in-school ticket sales, or by downloading and completing and returning a preview dress rehearsal ticket form. Tickets are required, but admission is free.

You are cordially invited to be a part of NVOT’s award-winning, sold-out musical tradition. This march, NVOT proudly presents it’s 49th All-School Musical Production, The Wedding Singer. The joyous, Tony-nominated musical is based on the hit Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore movie about a wedding singer who falls for an engaged waitress in 1985 New Jersey!

NVOT will be holding auditions for two senior citizens to play the roles of The Wedding Singer’s Grandparents. Both of these supporting roles will highlight the performer’s singing, dancing and comedic talents. Candidates interested in auditioning for ROSIE, the wedding singer’s grandmother, should prepare 32 measures of any song and will be asked to perform a scene from the show. Candidates for ARNOLD, Rosie’s husband of 50 years, should prepare 32 measures of any song and will be asked to perform a scene as Ronald Reagan.

AUDITIONS will be held on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2011. Performances will be held on March 4, 5, 6, 2012.
